On December 13, 2012, the Finnish Clean Technology Exchange Conference was held in the Environmental Science Park. A delegation of Finnish clean technology companies headed by the first deputy mayor of Lahti, Finland, Mika Makinen, was led by the leaders of the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences Next, came to Boda to visit and exchange on clean technology in water treatment and other aspects.
Finland boasts a high level of technological expertise in energy conservation, clean production technologies, water treatment, and waste management, ranking fourth globally in the Clean Technology Innovation Index. The city of Lahti serves as a major hub for Finland’s clean technology sector, home to 15% of the country’s clean-tech companies. Broad has established cooperative relationships with several enterprises in Lahti.
