CNOOC Tianye Chemical’s Polyformaldehyde Wastewater Treatment Project
Project Name: Polyformaldehyde Wastewater Treatment Project of CNOOC Tianye Chemical
Project scale: 2500 m 3/d
Commissioning date: Oct, 2007
Treatment process: Anaerobic + aerobic
Project Overview: Formaldehyde-containing wastewater generated during polyformaldehyde production is characterized by high organic concentration, complex organic compounds, and significant toxicity, which can adversely affect biological treatment processes. Therefore, these factors must be fully considered in the process design. Drawing on our company’s proven experience in treating formaldehyde wastewater for the Yuntianhua Group, BODA employs a combined UASB reactor–aerobic treatment process. With proper control of key technical parameters throughout the process, the treated effluent can meet either discharge standards or water-recycling standards.
