General introduction: Hainan refinery wastewater treatment plant has two kind of wastewater: oil wastewater and salty wastewater. They treat oil wastewater by MBR process and treat salty wastewater by oxidation ditch process. Salty wastewater contain wastewater produced by crude oil dehydration, and spent caustic wastewater which has high salinity, high COD. So salty wastewater quality is complicated and volatile, is hard to treat. Under the impact of these two streams of wastewater, oxidation ditch effluent water quality always can’t meet the standards. And they have built new P-Xylene project, it will produce P-Xylene wastewater and improve the processing load of salty wastewater treatment system. In order to stabilize the salty wastewater system, Hainan refinery wastewater treatment plant optimized and reconstructed the salty wastewater pre-treatment system in 2013, focus on solving the impact of these two streams of wastewater on the salty wastewater treatment system.
