Currently, there are three kinds of main methods of dealing with municipal solid waste all around the world，including landfill, composting and incineration. The treatment method is different according to the differences of different national conditions and waste composition.

Composting process is a kind of biochemical method that decomposes the organic composition in the waste by using microorganism, the wastes like stones, metals and other materials that can not be decomposed by microorganism have to be sort out from waste before treatment, this method also need long-term composting cycle and large space, so it can not be developed rapidly. In the past, many countries treated the solid waste by the method of landfill, but it not only needs huge space, but also polluted underground water, soil and atmosphere. At the same time, the valuable materials and energy can not be comprehensive recycled. However, the method of incineration could completely conform to the principle of harmless, reduction and recycling. So, landfill has been replaced by incineration gradually.

After burned, garbage would become cinder, and it will be discharged from the discharging outlet into the ash cooler directly. After cooling, it will be transferred into the ash plant. The cooling ash can used for other purposes such as bricks making and so on. High temperature flue gas produced by the incinerator will produce superheated steam on the heat exchange surface, and the superheated steam will flow into the steam pipe for electricity generation. After passing through the heat recovery boiler, flue gas will enter the purification system. The purification system is comprised by reaction tower, bag filter, induced draft fan and flue pipe. The flue gas will be injected into the atmosphere after the smoke dust and harmful ingredient is reduced to reach the standard of the environmental protection.
