Membrane Bio-Reactor (as MBR) is a kind of new type efficient wastewater treatment process which combined efficient membrane separation technology with the traditional activated sludge method. MBR replaced secondary sedimentation tank of the traditional biological treatment by membrane module.
According to membrane module placement method, MBR can be divided into: split type and integrated membrane bio-reactor.
According to whether need oxygen, MBR can be divided into aerobic and anaerobic membrane bio-reactor.
Outlet water quality is stable
High Sludge concentration, high biodegradability, high resistance ability to impact load, efficient membrane separation will ensure MBR stability degerming, remove suspended solids and reduce BOD. Especially can effectively remove refractory organics and reduce ammonia nitrogen.
Sludge concentration is high, MLSS is around 8～20g/L, about 2.5~5 times of the traditional biochemical treatment, biochemical tank is little.
Simple operation and maintenance
Process is simple, outlet water and operation is not affected by the factors of sludge bulking, etc. easy to realize automatic control management.
Sludge concentration is high, sludge retention time is long, output sludge only 10% of the traditional process, post-treatment cost of the sludge is low.
