Oilfield mainly includes oilfield produced water, drilling wastewater and other types of oily wastewater in the station. There are many kinds of treatment ways because of oilfield production, environment and other factors. When the oilfield needs water injection, the oilfield wastewater will reinject into stratum after treatment, and at this time, suspended solids, oil and other indexes in water must be strictly controlled to avoid damage to the stratum. If the oily wastewater supply water for steam generator or bioler, the ion content of calcium, magnesium that easy to scaling, total degree of mineralization and oil content in water must be strictly controlled. When the wastewater has to be discharged after treatment, the wastewater needs to reach local emission standards.

According to the sources, elements and outlet requirements of oilfield wastewater, there are four kinds of treatment methods, including physical method (such as centrifugal separation method, coarse graining method, membrane separation method), chemical method(acidification method, chemical oxidation method, photochemical catalytic oxidation method), physical chemical method (such as flotation method, adsorption method, magnetic adsorption separation method) and biochemical method(such as activated sludge process, biological membrane process, etc. that belong to microbial treatment method).
